September 2019
Four things to see and do in Essex this September
Looking for a unique day out this September? Here are our top four suggestions for all to enjoy:
[1] The annual Maldon Oyster Festival kicks off on Sunday 8 September - a foodie celebration of all things seafood. Set against a stunning backdrop with the iconic barges and the beautiful river Blackwater we highly recommend this hidden gem. Don’t like oysters? Don't fret. There's a whole host more available.
[2] Join our friends at Colchester Zoo on Saturday 14 September for a Starlight Safari Night. A magical twilight spectacular with a timetable packed with special feeds, encounters and training sessions. Check out our brilliant zoo package and make the most of this terrific event.
[3] Chelmsford’s largest family event, the National Country Show Live, kicks off on Saturday 21 September. The two-day event is held on the event fields of Hylands Park and features a massive selection of entertainment, shopping and displays for all the family to enjoy. From horse stunt displays to petting zoos and have a go activities.
[4] Ever walked an alpaca? Blackwater Alpacas and Pygmy Goats is an amazing small holding which offers exactly that. So if you're looking for something a little unique this autumn give them a bell. All experiences must be pre-booked in advance.
