The health and safety of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us.
The UK Government’s Health Protection (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 have been put in place to reduce the risk of further human-to-human transmission in this country. The UK Chief Medical Officers have assessed the risk to the UK as moderate.
We are monitoring Coronavirus updates from the UK Government and the World Health Organisation and will continue to respond based on the advice of public health authorities and medical professionals.
20th March 2020. The government has ordered gyms and leisure centres to close for the foreseeable future. These come as the next steps on scientific advice. Until further notice the entire Leisure Club and Spa will be shut. Just to be crystal clear this includes the cardiovascular and free-weights gyms, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, aerobics studio, squash/tennis courts and snooker room. All food and beverage outlets will also be closed.
24th March 2020: It is with a heavy heart that following the latest advice from the Government, we have made the decision to temporarily close Five Lakes Resort at 17:00, 24th March 2020.
At this time of national crisis, when the most responsible thing we can do is #StayHome, we don’t believe it’s right to ask our employees to travel into work. It is also our duty to do whatever we can to play our part to alleviate as much pressure on our wonderful NHS. We would like to thank all of our amazing colleagues, customers and communities for the support you’ve given. We can’t wait to welcome you back soon. Stay safe!
