Pegasus Trophy

Five Lakes members entertained a team of golfers from The Parachute regiment based in Colchester.

Playing for the 'Pegasus trophy' donated by Five Lakes member Brian Thompson the match was played in good spirit with some competitive matches to boot.

Hospitality was provided on the course by John Scott who's house overlooks the 3rd green, John kindly provided victuals and food for all the players.

The match was won by the Parachute regiment by 61/2 games to 31/2 who's name now goes onto the trophy to equalise the last years match when Five Lakes were the victors.

There were wins for Ryan Davies & Daz Chambers, Grant Naylor & Frank Gargan, George Parsons & Damian Slater, Tommy McGrath & Paul Titteringham and Richard Dunne for the Para's and Ian Kirkman & Chris Southgate, Barry Turner and John Day with Captain Clive Jenner for Five Lakes, one matched was halved Eric Howlett & Gary Goodchild for Five Lakes and Jon Parker & Rai Ralson from the Para's Captain Clive Jenner thanked the Parachute Regiment for their past efforts and especially in the imminent deployment to Afghanistan for a further 6 month tour of duty where our hopes and safe passage goes to them all.
